New Campaign To Keep Minneapolis Kids Warm Will Melt Your Heart
A mysterious good Samaritan is working to make sure kids stay warm this winter.
MINNEAPOLIS — An anonymous good Samaritan is on a mission to make sure Minnesota kids and adults stay warm this winter. Dozens of hats, coats, gloves, boots, and blankets have been left around downtown Minneapolis. Many of them appear to be handmade.
The items all have tags that read: "Take Me! I'm not lost, I'm Yours!"
Star Tribune columnist Jennifer Brooks has been documenting the kind gesture on Twitter.

Brooks notes that many of the items are for children, "which is probably more heartbreaking than heartwarming."

As Brooks says, "Minneapolis in winter is the warmest place." The "Take Me!" donations are similar to the "Pass Your Parka" initiative that took place after the 2018 Super Bowl.
