No Arrests After Tuesday Shooting That Injured 7-Year-Old In MPLS

The boy's injuries are not life-threatening.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — No arrests have been made after a 7-year-old was hit in a drive-by shooting in North Minneapolis Tuesday, a police spokesperson told Patch Thursday morning.

The boy was struck just before 7:30 p.m. on June 30 when he and his dad were exiting a business on the 1100 block of Lowry Avenue North.

The boy was hit in the foot, reports FOX 9. He was hospitalized and the injuries are not life-threatening.

The child is the 13th shooting victim under 16 in Minneapolis this year, according to police data reviewed by the Star Tribune.
