NWS Issues Frost Advisory For Twin Cities: MN Weather

TWIN CITIES, MN — The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for the Twin Cities metro area and much of central Minnesota. "Widespread frost or a freeze is expected Tuesday night," the NWS said.

Highs will stay mostly in the 60s this week, with lows dropping down as far as 39 on Tuesday night in the Twin Cities.

The week will also remain on the dry side. "A dry pattern will set up across the Upper Midwest this week, with most locations not expected to see any rainfall. Looking ahead, dry weather is favored the following week as well," the NWS said.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 62. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 59. North wind 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Patchy frost after 5am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 39. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.

Wednesday: Patchy frost before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 61. Light east southeast wind becoming south southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 70. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
