Palmisano Grabs Three New Endorsements for City Council Campaign

The Ward 13 candidate is hoping to fill Betsy Hodges' seat.

Linea Palmisano picked up three new endorsements Wednesday from various constituency caucuses, including the DFL African American Caucus, Minnesota Young DFL and Minnesota Asian-Indian Democratic Association.

Palmisano is hoping to fill Betsy Hodges' seat as Ward 13 representative on the Minneapolis City Council. Hodges is making a bid for mayor.

According to a campaign press release, the following is what each endorser had to say about Palmisano:

DFL African American Caucus

"We believe Linea shows a strong desire to ensure accountability for the use of city resources, is committed to a sustainable community infrastructure in African American neighborhoods by addressing several disparities, including the economy, housing and transportation."

Minnesota Young DFL

“Linea Palmisano has a proven track record of bringing groups together to accomplish tasks, both professionally and through her volunteer work. She has a history of inclusiveness, and encourages youth in her community to become more active and engaged. We are proud to support her.”

Minnesota Asian-Indian Democratic Association

"Linea has displayed incredible service to her community, and would bring much needed private sector experience to City Hall. She has the ability to bring people together to accomplish tasks, and works hard to ensure all voices are heard. We are proud to support her."

Minneapolis Firefighters Local 82 and the organization Women Winning endorsed Palmisano last week.
