This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to advance their nursing skills. The trained Nurse Clinician communicates to patients their INR result and provides dosing, per protocols, via telephone. The training for this position is completed upon hire and is comprehensive. Advanced degrees or certifications are not needed. This role does not include in-person patient contact as the work is telephone/computer based. When trained, the Nurse Clinician utilizes dosing protocols for oral and injectable anticoagulants. The Nurse Clinician triages patients via telephone and provides communication to ordering clinician as needed. The ideal candidate must be able to make independent decisions while participating in a team environment.
