Photos: Downtown Minneapolis Recovers After Wednesday's Vandalism
A total of 132 people were arrested on riot, burglary, damage to property and curfew charges Wednesday night.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A total of 132 people were arrested by multiple agencies on various offenses that included riot, burglary, damage to property and curfew Wednesday night in Minneapolis. Vandals damaged dozens of businesses downtown and in the Loring Park neighborhood.
Thursday night, which featured a large presence of Minnesota State Patrol troopers and soldiers from the National Guard, was largely uneventful. The state patrol says troopers and DNR officers made 49 arrests in Minneapolis, mostly for curfew violations, and one for under 21 consumption.
Several knives were confiscated, police said, and no injuries were reported.

Civil unrest sparked by misinformation
Vandalism Wednesday night began after a man killed himself. There were unsubstantiated claims made on social media that police fatally shot the man.
