Target is announcing plans to invest in a $10 million, full renovation of the company's downtown Minneapolis flagship store.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Target is announcing plans to invest in a $10 million, full renovation of the company’s downtown Minneapolis flagship store, located on Nicollet Mall, and centrally located to its headquarters offices.

The Minneapolis Nicollet Mall Target store, which opened in October 2001, will remain open during the store’s remodel, the company said last week. Construction will begin in March, with the enhancements being complete by early September.

The store’s top-to-bottom overhaul will feature modern décor elements, including stenciled concrete floors, wood plank walls and elevated merchandise assortment displays, according to a news release.
