Photos: Woodbury's CityPlace Retail Nearing Completion

WOODBURY, MN – Florida-based Elion Partners announced that Woodbury's CityPlace is nearing completion with a host of national retailers set to open this Spring, including Nordstrom Rack, Whole Foods Market, Sierra Trading Post and La-Z-Boy.

“The nearing completion of CityPlace retail is a big milestone for the project,” said Kaylee McCall Correa, Manager, Corporate Communications, Elion Partners, in a statement.

“When we designed CityPlace along with the City of Woodbury, the retail was purposed to complement the future office users of the park.”

Delivery a true work-play-stay concept, Elion Partners is replacing CityPlace’s former 400,000-square-foot office building with a multi-unit office park that is designed to attract and retain businesses well into the future.

The office park is part of the 100-acre transformation of CityPlace, the high-profile, mixed-use development that features shopping, restaurants, hotels, office and medical office space, according to a news release.

TRIA Orthopaedic Center and a 50,000-square-foot medical office joint venture with The Davis Group are the first two in a series of new office buildings.

The approved development plan for CityPlace identified the goal of 400,000 square feet of Places to Work land uses. Following the construction of the 50,000-square-foot medical office, there will be 290,000 square feet of Places to Work uses.

Elion Partners will host an official project grand opening on June 29th to celebrate the completion of CityPlace’s retail and the overall development to date. Further details will be announced next month.

Among the grand opening celebrations, the 25,600-square-foot Nordstrom Rack will be hosting a “Rally at the Rack” event on Thursday, April 6.

At 8 a.m., Rally at the Rack kicks things off with music, coffee and breakfast treats, with doors opening to the public at 9 a.m.

Nordstrom Rack also joins a 116-room Residence Inn by Marriott and anchor tenant Whole Foods Market, along with Sierra Trading Post, Verizon Wireless, Café Zupas, Naf Naf Grill, Spire Credit Union, Wedding Day Diamonds, Caribou Coffee, La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings and Décor, Mattress Firm, Potbelly Sandwich Shoppe, Qdoba Mexican Grill and TU Nails, Piada Italian Street food, Chuck & Don’s, Sur La Table, CycleBar and Bank of America.
