Lyndale Man Arrested After Choking Girlfriend

A resident of the 5700 block of Xerxes Avenue was the victim of a hit and run when someone struck the drivers side of her vehicle.

A 24-year-old woman punched a 28-year-old acquaintance on the nose on the 5600 block of Lyndale Avenue.

A 40-year-old resident of the 4000 of Blaisdell Avenue reported that two fraudulent transactions had taken place on her credit card.

June 10

Police responded to a possible theft of vehicle in progress on the 4100 block of Old Shakopee Road. At the scene, police found a 24-year-old woman who had locked her keys in the vehicle. A 34-year-old man carrying multiple tools was attempting to enter the vehicle. A police check found that he had a confirmed felony warrant for 2nd degree drugs in Scott County and he was arrested.

June 9

A 24-year-old woman reported being assaulted and choked by her boyfriend on the 3200 block of Blaisdell Avenue. The 39-year-old boyfriend was arrested on felony domestic assault charges.

A 17-year-old reported his cell phone stolen on the 3400 block of 47^th Street.

A 22-year-old male was stopped by police for failing to stop at a stop sign on 3900 block of Lyndale Avenue. He was found to be in possession of a bottle of alcohol and was given a misdemeanor for violating open bottle laws.

June 8

A 30-year-old man reported his car stolen on the 3000 block of Bryant Ave.

A car owed by a 68-year-old woman was hit on the 5500 block of Lyndale by another vehicle, whose driver did not stop to leave information with the victim.

June 7

A 69-year-old woman reported being struck while crossing a parking lot on the 6000 block of Lyndale Avenue. The 73-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck her said that he did not see the woman when he was backing up. Though the woman claimed her right hip was injured, no injuries could be seen and no charges were filed.

June 6

Police cited a 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman for possession of intoxicating beverages on the 3700 block of Thomas Avenue.

Police responded to a domestic dispute on the 6100 block of Nicollet Avenue in which a 49-year-old woman was threatened with violence.

June 5

A 26-year-old man was booked into Hennepin County Jail for driving while under the influence of alcohol near the intersection of 32nd Street and Girard Avenue.

A woman using a tennis ball launcher to throw balls into Lake Harriet for her large, gold-colored dog was cited for violating leash laws. The woman told police that she had gotten away with violating leash laws for the previous five years. 

Police responded to an assault call at the 2500 block of 57th Street.

A 21-year-old Kasson, Minnesota, man was cited for a noise violation on the 3700 block of Thomas Avenue after park police heard the music from his amplifiers from 75 feet away.

A 17-year-old turning into a church parking lot on the 3900 block of Nicollet Avenue was the victim of a hit and run.

Police were called to the 5800 block of Harriet about a child custody dispute.
