Seed Art: The Wealth Of Nations?
Rachel Breen's "Lets Not Leave It To Chance" opens Oct. 8

The phrase "seed art" may, to some, conjure up images of hokey elementary school art projects.
To , though, the much-maligned art form represents something far more profound.
"Seeds, something so small and innocuous on the surface, contain thousands of years of evolutionary history and are essential to human survival," she explains in a description of her new show, "Let's Not Leave It To Chance."

The exhibition opens at St Paul's Concordia University Art Center tomorrow, Oct. 8.
Breen's past work has explored ideas of society's common wealth, and "Chance" is no exception, asking the viewer to "consider what we have inherited and what we hope to pass on to future generations."
