Six Shot At Little Earth In Minneapolis, Including A Child
"Gun violence is not acceptable in any of our neighborhoods, and Little Earth is no exception," Mayor Jacob Frey said in a statement.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Six people were shot Wednesday night at the Little Earth public housing complex in Minneapolis, including one child. At about 7:45 p.m. officers responded to the 2400 block of Ogema Place on a report of a shooting.
Officers found six victims, who were taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police detained three people in connection with the shooting, and are not looking for additional suspects.

"While I am grateful that no lives were lost and for the MPD’s quick response, this violence cannot be tolerated. Chief Arradondo and I will be working with Little Earth leadership and residents to not only strengthen the community’s safety — but also provide additional attention to the challenges that confront the community."
Little Earth's website describes itself as "the first urban housing complex with Native preference."

The Minneapolis crime lab is collecting evidence. Investigators and officers are canvassing the area and speaking with those who may have information.
