Slave and Sister

Mayim Rabim Congregation welcomes historian Sabra Waldfogel, who will give a presentation and lead a discussion about her book Slave and Sister, a historical novel set at the time of the Civil War.  It is the story of the relationship and struggle between a Jewish woman and the slave who is her half-sister, and how the war transforms that relationship from mistress and slave to truly being sisters.

Sunday October 12, 2014, 4-5:30 PM, Friends Meeting House, 44th & York Ave S, Minneapolis.

Refreshments will be served.  Books will be available for purchase and signing.  Free admission; all are welcome.
