State Patrol To Truckers: Stop Driving In The Lowry Tunnel

Troopers are in the Minneapolis area implementing a zero tolerance practice for commercial vehicles who ignore the closure.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that trucks continue to enter the Lowry Tunnel despite restrictions and vehicles continue to speed through the construction zone. Troopers are in the area implementing a zero tolerance practice for commercial vehicles who ignore the closure.

If you are driving a semi or bus: Remember there are restrictions prohibiting trucks weighing more than 9,000 pounds from the Lowry Tunnel during the current project. All motorists must follow the posted speed limits to keep themselves, other motorists and construction workers safe.
