Summer School Registration Opens for Minneapolis Students

Summer school openings are available for qualifying Minneapolis Public Schools students.

The district said it strives to make rigorous academics fun over the summer by enhancing the basic curriculum by incorporating hands-on learning techniques.

Classes for kindergarten though eighth-grade students run June 17 through July 25, Monday through Thursday. Classes for Grades 9-12 run June 17 through July 11, also Monday through Thursday. However, there will be no classes Thursday, July 4 in observance of the holiday.

The deadline for registration is May 24. Any registrations received after will be placed on a waiting lists.

Questions are being directed to each school office, or parents can visit the district's website for more information and to register. Registration forms in both English and Spanish have been attached to this article as PDFs.
