Target Field 2nd Most Vegan-Friendly Ballpark: PETA

"The Twins have gone to bat for animals and compassionate baseball fans alike," PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Minnesota Twins Target Field was ranked second on People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) list of top 10 vegan-friendly ballparks list. The organization noted the sSriracha brats and Italian sausages available from Target Field restaurant The Herbivorous Butcher, which serves meat-free specialties.

"The Twins have gone to bat for animals and compassionate baseball fans alike," PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said in a statement. "Target Field will have vegans cheering for its variety of animal-friendly options that have earned it a coveted spot on PETA's list."

PETA, whose motto is "animals are not ours to eat," said that going vegan would afford baseball players and their fans the time to enjoy more baseball games, "since eating meat and other animal-derived foods has been conclusively linked to a higher risk of suffering from heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, and cancer. In addition, every vegan saves more than 100 animals a year from a terrifying death in today's industrialized meat, egg, and dairy industries."
