Target Will Close Store In North Metro Due To Poor Sales
Six Target stores across the nation will be shuttered.

MINNEAPOLIS — Target is planning to close one of its north metro stores early next year due to poor sales. The Minneapolis-based retailer will shutter the Brooklyn Center Target (6100 Shingle Creek Parkway) and its CVS Pharmacy there on Feb. 2.
Staff were told the news Monday, the Star Tribune reported. The store suffered "years of decreasing profitability," Target told the newspaper.
The 120 employees will be offered jobs at other locations or given a severance package.
