TWIN CITIES, MN — If you run out of wine or beer on Thanksgiving Day, you're out of luck. Liquor stores are legally required to close on Thanksgiving Day in Minnesota. However, some grocery stores in the area are open on Thanksgiving, but they close early. On Black Friday, most stores return to normal operating hours.

To help you know your go-to stores over the upcoming holiday, we have open and closed hours for stores, plus links to their websites. Here's a list of Thanksgiving hours for Minnesota grocery chains. Some stores may vary.

Thanksgiving Store Hours

• Kowalski's Market: All stores closed on Thanksgiving Day
• Lunds & Byerlys: All stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day. Stores open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
• Cub Foods: Open from 12 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day
• Whole Foods: Open 7 a m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day
• Trader Joes: All stores closed on Thanksgiving Day
• ALDI: All stores closed on Thanksgiving Day
• Costco: All stores closed on Thanksgiving Day
• Sam's Club: All stores closed on Thanksgiving Day
• Walmart: Stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day and will unveil Black Friday deals at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Target: Stores open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and close at midnight; stores re-open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
