Here are the suburbs in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area where buyers have the best chance of scoring a home they can actually afford.
TWIN CITIES, MN — As the summer approaches, the already-hot Twin Cities real estate market will reach scorching temperatures. Homes will go for sky-high prices as the seller's market continues.
But what if you're a buyer? Where would you even start to look for an affordable home?
Niche.com has compiled a list of Minneapolis-St. Paul metro suburbs with the lowest cost of living. Their study "takes into account key factors, including a location’s housing, food, and fuel costs, as well as the median tax rates, in an attempt to measure the overall affordability and relative cost of living of an area."

Data used in the study came from the U.S. Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the Tax Foundation.
