Timberwolves Make Decision On Head Coach Ryan Saunders
Ryan Saunders has been the team's interim head coach since Tom Thibodeau was fired back in January.

MINNEAPOLIS — Only days into his new role, Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas has made his first big decision. The club will make Ryan Saunders the team's permanent head coach.
The news was reported by the Athletic's Jon Krawczynski Monday morning.
Saunders has been the team's interim head coach since Wolves owner Glen Taylor fired Tom Thibodeau back in January.

Ryan's father, Flip Saunders, coached the Wolves from 1995–2005 and again from 2014-2015. Flip, 60, died on Oct. 25, 2015 after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.
In addition to making Ryan the permanent head coach Monday, the Wolves have also hired an assistant general manager, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Minnesota is hiring Brooklyn’s Gianluca Pascucci has an assistant GM, league sources tell ESPN. Pascucci was the Nets Director of Global Scouting and had previously worked closely with new Timberwolves President Gersson Rosas with Houston.
