Trainers May Have Saved Teddy's Leg, Career: Injury Analyst

The decision to send Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to the hospital may have saved his leg, according to one analyst.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater could have lost his leg following an injury at practice Tuesday if it weren't for quick action by trainers, according to one analyst.

Will Carroll, who's written for Bleacher Report and Baseball Prospectus, said he had a source confirm that Bridgewater might have lost his leg if not for the quick action by Vikings trainers.

Shortly after Bridgewater suffered the injury during a non-contact play, Vikings trainers decided to call an ambulance and have him taken to a hospital.

It was later confirmed that Bridgewater dislocated his knee and tore his ACL.

Vikings trainer Eric Sugarman said Tuesday that although the recovery time will be significant, he expects Bridgewater to make a full recovery.
