TWIN CITIES, MN — A fast-moving storm system Tuesday brought to the Twin Cities area more than two inches of rain in less than an hour, causing widespread street flooding through many communities, according to reports.

The rain set off flash flood warnings in many cities, the Star Tribune reported, including Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina, St. Louis Park, Roseville, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Falcon Heights and the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

The storm also left roughly 55,000 people without power for a period of time.
