U of M Ranks 15th Worldwide In Business And Economics
The University of Minnesota ranks 15th in the world in the fields of business and economics, according to a new report.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The University of Minnesota ranks 15th in the world in the fields of business and economics according to Times Higher Education’s 2016-17 World University Rankings. Among American public institutions, the University places second in the category—behind only the University of California, Berkeley; it comes in at No. 10 among all U.S. universities.
The business and economic rankings centered on three topic areas: business and management, accounting and finance, and economics and econometrics, according to a news release from the university.
About the rankings
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings used the following weights for evaluating schools in the area of business and economics: teaching (32.5 percent), research (32.5), citations (25), international outlook (7.5), and industry income (2.5).
