Suspect Sought After U Of M Worker Assaulted With Bottle: Cops
University of Minnesota police are working with local and state agencies to apprehend the suspect.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The University of Minnesota police are looking for a suspect after a staff member was attacked on campus. On Monday at about 11 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at the Mayo Building on the East Bank.
The victim asked the suspect to leave the building and suspect assaulted him with a bottle, according to authorities. The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. He works for the university in facilities management.
University of Minnesota police are working with local and state agencies to apprehend the suspect. If you see the suspect, authorities ask you call 911 and don't approach him. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at (612) 624-COPS (2677) and reference case number UM-18-038258.

University police previously sent out a mugshot of the person they believed was the suspect. Authorities have since said they misidentified the individual.
