Veteran's Day 2018: What's Closed, What's Open In Minneapolis
Veterans Day this year is Sunday, Nov. 11 but will be observed by many local government offices on Monday.

MINNEAPOLIS — Veterans Day, Nov. 11, falls on Sunday this year, so Minneapolis city government offices are closed Monday, Nov. 12 in observance of that day. All city offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
The holiday does not affect the City’s garbage and recycling service which will maintain its normal schedule. Solid Waste and Recycling’s downtown customer service office will be closed. The Transfer Station is closed Mondays.
Minneapolis 311 is also closed Monday, Nov. 12.

The city's metered parking spaces are not enforced Sunday, Nov. 11, but are subject to enforcement Monday, Nov. 12, along with Park Board meters on Minneapolis parkways, University of Minnesota parking meters and meters operated by private organizations. Always read the information posted for metered parking spaces to be certain.
Minneapolis police and fire emergency services are not affected by the holiday.
