Victoria's Secret Closes In Uptown

The owners of the building decided not to renew the international retailer's lease.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — After 10 years, the Victoria’s Secret store in the heart of Uptown has closed. The two-story building on the busy corner of Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue is currently up for lease, and the owners decided they wanted something new there.

Before Victoria’s Secret, the building housed The Gap for 15 years. There are currently 11 Victoria’s Secret stores located throughout the Twin Cities.

"There has been enormous interest," Ruth Weisberg, a member of the family that owns the building, told the Twin Cities Business. "There’s all kinds of things we’re thinking of."
