Minneapolis police are working to ensure locals stay hydrated as the heat index approaches 110 degrees.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — At a time when tensions are high between police officers and residents in the Twin Cities and nationwide, Minneapolis police are going the extra mile to ensure locals stay hydrated as the heat index approaches 110 degrees.
"It’s a hot one out there today. Drink lots of water, stay indoors if you can, and look out for each other," read a post on the Minneapolis Police Department Facebook page.
"And if you see any of our officers out and about handing out water bottles be sure to say hello!"
