Vikings Fans Booed The Raiders Kicker All Day: Here's Why
Fans don't normally boo the other team's kicker, but Sunday was different.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings won for the 500th time in franchise history Sunday with the team's dominating 34-14 victory over the Oakland Raiders. The game quickly got out of hand, and there wasn't any mystery as to who would win.
However, there was one wrinkle that made Sunday's game unique. The Raiders kicker, Daniel Carlson, was vehemently booed by Vikings fans all day.
Gotta feel for Daniel Carlson. He has been booed all day. Crowd gave him the business before that FG attempt, which was no good.

Why? To answer that, one must go back to last season. Minnesota traded two draft picks to get Carlson.

But Minnesota waived rookie Carlson after he missed three field goals during the Vikings' 29-29 tie with the Green Bay Packers, the team's biggest rival.
The tie ended up costing the Vikings a trip to the playoffs.

No logical reason? Didn’t he miss 3 FGs last year on the road vs the biggest rival - which contributed to the standings? Not nearly your greatest comparison.

So you can understand why Minnesotans felt some vindication after Carlson "doinked" his field goal attempt off of the post Sunday.

Daniel Carlson missed his first 3 career FGs and got cut by the #Vikings. He makes the next 17 for the Raiders. Returns to Minnesota a year later and his streak is broken. I'm in tears.
