Vikings Fan Writes Thank-You Note to Minneapolis Police

A Minnesota Vikings fan took the time to write a thank-you note to Minneapolis police after one officer went the extra mile.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A Minnesota Vikings fan took the time to write a thank-you note to Minneapolis police after one officer went the extra mile to help out an ailing man. According to the note, the fan's father, stricken with pneumonia and cancer, was waiting for a ride in a wheelchair after the game Sunday amid freezing temperatures.

A Minneapolis police officer in the area noticed the fan trying to shield the man from the cold. The officer noticed, came over and offered his jacket to keep the man warm.

"Here is a great message that we received from one of our Facebook followers," Minneapolis police said. "Our officers do great things everyday and we were very happy to hear about this."
