Minnesota Vikings Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner Resigns
"I think it's in the best interest of the team to step down," Norv Turner said in a statement.

Following the team's surprise loss to an underperforming Chicago Bears squad Monday night, Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner has resigned. The team said in a statement that Pat Shurmur, the Vikings tight ends coach, will assume the duties as interim offensive coordinator effective immediately.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter called the move a "stunner."
In a statement, Turner said, "I have tremendous respect for Mike Zimmer, our coaching staff, and our players and at this time I think it’s in the best interest of the team to step down."
