Watch: Protesters March In 'Day Without Immigrants' Boycott

Protesters in the Twin Cities are demonstrating Thursday to show President Donald Trump the importance of immigrants.

Immigrants in the Twin Cities and across the country Thursday are participating in a "Day Without Immigrants" boycott, hoping to show President Donald Trump the important role immigrants have in the United States.

Restaurants and business across the metro have closed in solidarity with the protest.

"We want to show our solidarity with everyone who is potentially affected by the current presidential administration's policies towards immigrants," local restaurant Mesa Pizza said in a statement before closing Thursday. "Immigrants of all kinds make this country run."
