Weekend Anchor For KARE 11 Moving To Local Radio
Cory Hepola anchored with his wife, Camille Williams, until last month.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Cory Hepola, who recently announced he would be leaving KARE 11 in January, has landed his next gig. The news anchor will replace midday host John Hines at WCCO Radio.
Hepola co-anchored for KARE 11 with his wife, Camille Williams, on weekends until she abruptly left the station last month. On Thursday, he announced over social media that he will also leave KARE.
“All I ever wanted to do since I was 8 years old was be a TV journalist in the Twin Cities,” Hepola told the Star Tribune.

“But I feel like I accomplished everything I ever set out to do on TV. I’m ready for a new challenge. I’m looking forward to really discussing issues rather than just having 90 seconds to share a story.”
Thank you forever, @kare11. And, thank you @Jrem2828, @JaneHelmke, and @snogy for believing in me when no one else would. pic.twitter.com/cPDnM6z7MV
