Why is My Pet So Itchy?
Is your pet scratching a lot? Just like humans, animals can develop seasonal allergies! Read on to learn symptoms.

Allergy season is in high gear. Ragweed, pollen and grass allergies are all common in late August and early September. Symptoms of seasonal allergies can include: Sores on the skin, ear infections, licking at the feet, and itchiness can all be symptoms of seasonal allergies. It is important to visit your veterinarian if your pet is experiencing these symptoms. Allergies cause inflammation to the skin, and then yeast and bacteria that inhabits the skin normally can overgrow and cause an infection. Often times these pets need to be treated with antibiotics, anti-fungals, antihistamines and sometimes steroids if the symptoms are severe.
