A rundown of things going on this weekend in the Stillwater area.

It's fall in the valley.

This weekend is all about art festivals, apple picking and Oktoberfest. Here's a rundown of events happening in the Stillwater area this weekend including Art on Main, the Take Me to the River Festival of Festivals and Oktoberfest at Gasthaus.

Friday

Art on Main: from 4-9 p.m. downtown Stillwater: Explore six galleries and studios on Stillwater’s Historic Downtown Main Street. An artist reception will be held at each location on Friday featuring one or more artist as well as refreshments. Maps are available at each location.

Oktoberfest at Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter: Gates open at 5 p.m. admission for Oktoberfest is $5 and features a huge festival tent chalked full of German food, beer and Ompha music. The Artie Schaefer Band performs from 6-11 p.m. Must be 21 years old.

Aamodt’s Apple Farm Peak Season Activities: Hay Wagon Rides and Honeycrisp Express from noon to 4 p.m.; and hay bale maze and John Deere Tractor Trikes from 10 a.m. to close.

Saturday

Munchkin Markets Kids Consignment Sale: 9 a.m-4 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. A portion of the proceeds go to the Stillwater Area ECFE program. Admission is $1, or get in free with the donation of a non-perishable food item for Second Harvest.

Art on Main: 11 a.m. -5 p.m.  Explore six galleries and studios on Stillwater’s Historic Downtown Main Street. An artist reception will be held at each location on Friday's featuring one or more artist as well as refreshments. Enjoy and appreciate the growing art scene in Stillwater, with its diverse galleries and recognized artists. Maps are available at each location.

Abnet Farm Art Show & Sale: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Abnet Farm, includes the art of Edie Abnet, Julie Abnet, Lucas Mark, Linda Oliver, Lorie Schackmann, Evonne Sunram, Helen Tomollilo and Phil Wendt. Free and open to the public

39th Annual Marine Art Fair: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. An art show featuring the work of more than 175 artists and craftsmen at Historic Downtown Marine-on-St.-Croix. Free and open to the public

Rustic Road 13 Pottery Event: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Rustic Road 13 Pottery, in Hudson. An art-filled barn, continuous potter’s wheel, Raku firing demonstrations and live music. Free and open to the public.

Rhythms and Blues Opening Reception from 6-8 p.m. at The St. Croix Galleries at ArtReach St. Croix. Free and open to the public. Featuring the work of Pat Casanova, Nicole Roberts Hoiland, Anne Labovitz and Jeff Ross.

Fall Harvest Festival at Chateau St. Croix: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Chateau St. Croix, in St. Croix Falls has art, food and a grape stomp. Free and open to the public.

Bayport Derby Days The annual celebration starts with an 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and ends with fireworks at 8:30 p.m. at Lakeside Park.

Sunday
