2016-17 Back-to-School Dates, Info for Stillwater Area High School

Believe it or not, another school year is just around the corner.

The first day of classes for Stillwater Area High School students is Monday, Aug. 29.

Here you will find important back-to-school information about orientation, parking permits, school pictures, class schedules and more according to the Stillwater Area High School website.

Sophomore Orientation Day

Sophomore orientation will be held only for sophomore students on Thursday, Aug. 25. Sophomores will attend orientation from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

The day will kick off with an assembly in the main gymnasium at 8:00 a.m. Sophomores will meet the SAHS administrators, counselors, staff and student leaders; there will be student leader-led group discussions; students will have an opportunity to walk their schedule and meet teachers. There will be a picnic lunch in the cafeteria beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Life Touch Studios will be there to take the required ID photo (you are not required to buy pictures, but order forms will be available should you wish to do so). You are invited to drop lunch money off in the cafeteria deposit receptacle.

Class Schedule Information
Student schedules will be posted online in Skyward Family Access on Aug. 19. Should you have difficulty accessing from home, the computer lab will be open beginning Friday, Aug. 19.

Parking Information

Juniors and seniors who intend to park in the school parking lot must purchase a $250.00 parking permit. In
order to obtain the permit the student must first complete the online Moodle course and obtain parental
signature on the parent/guardian acknowledgment/authorization form.

Parking permits are to be paid for using the FeePay system online. Permits are distributed on a first-come/first-served basis.

Important Dates
Aug. 1 – Aug. 29: All grade 10-12 students complete online forms: parking permit application available online, FeePay open for payment

Aug. 14: Back To School Night

Aug. 25.: Sophomore Orientation Day

Aug. 18: Stillwater Area High School open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to drop off lunch
money (pick up PIN #), take Lifetouch photographs, and pick up parking
permit

Aug. 19: Online schedule active on Skyward Family Access

Aug. 29: First day of school (All day)
