Amazing Race- Operation Valley Challenge - 3rd annual, race of wit, challenges and skill

The 3rd annual The St. Croix Valley’s Operation Valley Challenge is set to happen August 29th 2015.This is an Amazing Race® type of race. The race is a fundraiser to support the St. Croix Valley Lumberjack Special Olympics team. The event starts at 10 a.m. in Autumn Hills Park in Oak Park Heights. Registration opens at 9:15

Teams of two to five persons can sign up for the 10-challenge event that takes teams through a variety of challenges. Challenges are designed to be family friendly, great for team building and also a little mentally challenging at times. Fun for all is guaranteed. You will use clues to find certain locations around Oak Park Heights and Stillwater where the challenges are located. Some of the challenges we have done in the past included Zumba® with SMRT studios, building a bird house with all the pieces but no instructions, Kicking field goals, BWW blazing wing challenge®, find the gnome and so many more activities. “The course itself is designed to be finished in one-and-a-half to two hours. It could take two to three hours depending on how long it takes your team to get through the challenges. If someone fails at the events at first they can keep trying or take a pass on the event. Participants must get their clues signed off on as they go through the course. A missed task results in a 10-minute penalty added to their finishing time. All participants will receive a prize. Of course you want to finish first to receive the prize of your choice. Some of our great prizes this year include: gift certificates for the MN Transportation museum, Wood art work from Bumpa’s Wood Working Garage, Tamarack Tap Room, Pieology, Svens BBQ , Lumberjack team apparel, and so much more. There is something for everyone.

The event starts at 10 a.m. in Autumn Hills Park in Oak Park Heights. Registration opens at 9:15.

Participating can register a head of time at http://operationvalley.eventbrite.com. If possible please do this so we can plan accordingly. We will also take on site registrations.

One hundred percent of the race profits will go back to the St. Croix Valley Lumberjacks to help fund programs, sport costs, uniforms and so much more for St. Croix Valley Lumberjack Special Olympics team throughout the next year.
