City leaders say the hike reflects added staff, higher insurance, and catching up on big projects, while neighboring Bayport and Lake Elmo are planning even steeper increases.
   

• Confirmed participants and viewing information for Stillwater Gazette-sponsored candidate forums (hometownsource.com) — Stillwater voters will soon get a chance to hear directly from candidates in several key races, with Gazette-sponsored forums Oct. 6–9 at Stillwater City Hall and on local cable.
