• Former Stillwater School Secretary Charged With Stealing More Than $90,000 From Staff Fund (town.news) — Stillwater Area Public Schools say a former secretary is charged with stealing more than $90,000 from a staff Sunshine Fund meant for retirements and celebrations. District leaders report they uncovered concerns in late 2024, launched an internal review, and then turned the case over to law enforcement, stressing the employee is no longer with the district while the court process moves ahead.
• Oak Park Heights city council candidate arrested for drunk driving (hometownsource.com) — An Oak Park Heights city council candidate on the November ballot was recently arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, and court records show she has two prior DWI convictions in Stillwater. Residents weighing their vote may want to understand the new charges, which include refusing a chemical test and lacking proof of insurance, as the race heads toward Election Day.
