“The Chamber Open” golf tournament is back in full swing
Hit the links, the annual tournament opens up play to the general public
STILLWATER, MINN – The much-anticipated “Chamber Open,” an annual golf tournament and fundraiser for the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce is set for Monday, September 16th at Oak Glen Golf Course. Registration will kick off at 11:00 a.m and the shotgun-style tournament will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Last Wednesday, Golf Committee Chair, John Ruiz, announced the tournament would open registration to the general public; the event is not for only Chamber members.
“Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a great day of golfing and networking,” said Ruiz. “We have a great lineup of sponsors and raffle prizes, and the best part is, you don’t even have to be a golfer to have a great time!”
Silver Sponsors of the 2013 Chamber Open include, Oak Glen Golf Course, First State Bank and Trust, Lakeview Health, Minuteman Press, Paul McCarthy – State Farm, Century Power Equipment & Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. In addition, Stillwater Motors is sponsoring a hole-in-one contest where golfers can have a chance to win a car!
“ This event provides a great experience for Chamber members – and interested parties- to start increasing their network and expand their business, “ said Ruiz, “This tournament is just another way to informally network with members and potential customers in the community.”
The Chamber Open is an annual event for the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, and a portion of the proceeds raised go towards the Chamber Stillwater Area High School.
“In my opinion this is one of the best networking opportunities for Chamber Members and prospective clients throughout the year,” said Ruiz. “Make plans to participate in this fundraising event, give back to the local community, and start perfecting your swing!”
