Scandia, MN - Come on down to the Hay Lake Day Celebration & Rummage Sale onSaturday August 10th from 12 pm to 4 pm! The event will feature live music by the Scandia Community Band as well as demonstrations from traditional craft vendors, free tours of the Hay Lake School Museum and Johannes Erickson Log Home as well as a fantastic rummage sale! Admission is free to the event and there will be ice-cold water and soda available for purchase. Outdoor-event tents and indoor space ensures that we will be ready for whatever weather Minnesota in early August throws at us!
Interested in helping a good cause and getting rid of some of your unwanted items? The Hay Lake Day Rummage Sale will also be taking place during the afternoon, and if you are interested in making a donation for the rummage sale we are accepting items up until Friday August 9th. We are accepting anything and everything from clothing, books, household items and outdoor items! You may bring your donation to the Warden’s House in Stillwater on Thursday, August 8th & Friday, August 9th from 1:00 – 4:00pm, the Hay Lake School from 12:00 – 4:00 PM on Friday, August 9th, or call (651) 433-4014 to arrange a pickup of items.
The Hay Lake School and the Johannes Erickson Log Home are on the National Register of Historic Places and both will be open for tours and your viewing pleasure.
