This past Tuesdays may have certainly been our largest crowd to date, and it was glorious! It was also the largest crowd of friendly dogs I have ever encountered! - With that said, as I was cleaning up at the end of the night I saw exactly ZERO "evidence" of dogs being present, which is impressive. Way to go Stillwater Dog Owners! *High Five*
This week I had a question asked by a regular attendee. She wanted to know if next year I could pick "Night at the Museum" (great pick, by the way!). So I explained that it would be determined by the cost of the film and its availability.
Some movies cost more than others - $500 verses $200 and all studios determine when and where they can be played. So we can 'try' to plan when we will show what, but ultimately, that's not totally up to us. (This is that long, BORING paragraph at the beginning of movies that says you will go to jail if you blah, blah, blah, jail).
So between the movie costs, the bands, the permits to rent the park, the security, the printed materials, the banners, etc. Our FREE event costs big bucks.
And that's why it makes all the difference in the world when you throw us a few bucks each week. We love doing it, and you help make that happen.
Next week join us for Les Izmoore followed by the featured film "August Rush", where, if spotted with anything musical - a shirt, an instrument, sheet music, etc. and I spot you, you will get a FREE coupon for pop or popcorn. (I need to spot you, so please don't go straight to the booth without your coupon. Cool? Cool.)
