Come Have a “Ball” with ArtReach - Just Don't Take it too Literally!

You don't have to be an English Major to come to the English Majors Ball, just don't take it too literally. Food, friends, fiction and fundraising will support the Literary Arts at ArtReach.

The Inaugural English Majors Ball will take place on Saturday, April 20 as the finale to 3 days of Valley Reads events.

You don’t have to be an English Major to enjoy literary arts. In fact, at this fundraiser you can get an honorary degree at the door. And “Ball” may seem a little formal, but don’t take it too literally. The inaugural English Majors Ball is all about food, friends, fiction and fundraising to support the Literary Arts Programs at ArtReach St. Croix.

So what does it take to create an English Majors Ball? How about a Twitter Haiku Challenge, Beginnings and Endings of great books and, of course, live music with Stillwater’s own Thrift Store Sonata. Throw in a silent auction and raffle (this is a fundraiser after all), some appetizers and a cash bar and you have the outline for a great evening. Tweed jackets are optional.
