Emotional and Spiritual Blind Spots

Which belief do you follow? "Change your thoughts change your behavior" t or "fake it till you make it."

Most people want to feel like they are loved and accepted right where they are at. Yet we live with criticism, cynicism, self-loathing, undertones, doubt and fear. How long do you think and try to resolve your negative thoughts, uncomfortable feelings or mistakes?

We form relationships hoping to be understood.  Some of us work very diligently explaining ourselves.  When first we seek to be understood, we limit the possibility of knowing all there is to make decisions. Many times what we explain or rationalize doesn’t even match what the other person is thinking.

We look over our shoulders to make sure we don't hit another car as we merge. Sometimes we have close calls, sometimes someone else doesn't look and we have to hit the brakes. Such is our emotional processing. Sometimes we begin confronting a difficult situation with someone we care about. We look into our blind spot and proceed. We don't know that we didn't see the issue coming in another lane. Without knowing it we discover there is a trigger that we tripped into with them or maybe ourselves. And now we have conflict or an emotional upset. The growth and healing begins in that brake. "Break"

Two way communication about our thoughts and feelings is how most problems get resolved. Rarely is it by simply being understood. It is when we focus on understanding then matching our insides with the mind-full options for resolution, that we explore what "our" part is. This is the opportunity we have to create our own solutions and level of acceptance. It is far more important for me to understand me and behave from that authenticity then to explain myself to others.

I’ve had a few clients and others tell me I recognize the blind spots they cannot see. These blind spots or limiting beliefs, values or attitudes sabotage their success. Another Holistic Healer claims I am a mid-wife their soul. I have the ability to facilitate learning, growing and healing. In many therapeutic modalities people are not encouraged to bring their religious or spiritual beliefs into the discussion. I am passionate to help people reign in their mental, emotional, physical and Spiritual well-being as one “Being.”
