Across the World we are Connected by Kindness
We received a note from our friends with the Singapore Kindness Movement letting us know about their latest initiative. And it's so simple: Appreciation (just saying "thank you") is an act of kindness itself. Check their website to see the videos they've added: http://makesomeonesday.sg/ambush.aspx.

I was watching one of their videos last night and was struck by the fact that here I was sitting in Maplewood and I was immediately - and profoundly - connected to some happy, flower-bearing people in Singapore, roughly 9,071 miles (14582 km) away. We were connected by kindness.
The power of that moment - of that connection - took my breath away.
The Power of Logging Acts of Kindness is Immense!
The next blog will be all about what studies have shown about the power of acts of kindness.
(Spoiler-alert: performing a lot of acts in a short time, plus tracking them, plus doing a variety of acts of kindness, actually makes us kinder!).
So LOG those ACTS OF KINDNESS! It doesn't matter if YOU've done them, if you've SEEN an act of kindness or if you've been the RECIPIENT of an act of kindness. And if you're hesitant to log any acts because you don't want to appear to want "credit" for them - don't worry. We don't ask for your name, and your town or country is optional. You can be totally anonymous. But seeing the kindness others are doing really makes a difference!
AND, if you haven't read through some of the acts of kindness that have been logged, I urge you to do so. It really is inspiring. Just go to: http://kindness-challenge.org.
