Movember in Stillwater!

What is Movember?

Movember is a world-wide organization to raise awareness for Men's health...primarily prostate cancer.

The idea is that for the month of November we will grow moustaches to create an awareness for men's health and raise money for Movember.

Money generated goes primarly to two other organizations: Livestrong, and Prostate Cancer Foundation.

I am a paramedic at Lakeview Hospital that started a team last year to raise money and awareness for Movember.

Our team of paramedic, nurses, doctors, family/friends, and the Stillwater community raised almost $3,500 for the cause. This year we need you!

We need others to grow moustaches with us...promote the cause...and have fun!

Here is how you get involved:  go online to www.movember.com read about the organization and sign up.

Step 2, either create your own team or join us...we have room, and have many local supporters helping us...after you are registered, you can attach with a "team".

Our Team is "Mo Medics and Mo Friends"...and we would love to have you join us.  If you're a female and want to help...sign up and join our team, we need ladies to put up with our moustaches and help get men to realize the importance of check-ups and men's health in general!
