Spring into Service Volunteers Needed

Volunteers needed! Community Thread’s 5^th annual Spring Into Service event is right around the corner, and we still need some volunteers to help us give back to local nonprofits. On Saturday, May 4^th, 2013 from 9:00-12:00pm, over 275 volunteers will complete service projects at 17 local nonprofit organizations. Volunteer projects will include painting, landscaping, tree planting, spring clean-up, gardening and much more. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome! There will also be office projects available for those unable to do physical labor.

 Where can you help? We have locations in Stillwater, Marine, White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, Hudson, Hastings, and Cottage Grove.  When you sign up for the event you can request to be placed at a particular site if you’d like; otherwise, we assign volunteers to sites based on geographic location, size of group, and other factors.

 After the event, all attendees are invited to a volunteer appreciation party with a free lunch at Community Thread immediately following the event. The event is free and open to people of all ages and abilities.
