The theme for this season has been “Postcards along the Way.”
December took the group to Scandinavia and the Baltics, in February we made a stop in Italy, and now in April we go to NYC. If you like to hear the music of Sting, tunes from Broadway shows such as Les Miserable and covers from the American Song Book, this is a choral concert not to be missed. This will be an evening “on the town.”

A part of the VCC’s focus is the discovery and promotion of young talent, especially those young artists from the St. Croix Valley.
This year the Chorale is pleased to present Jack Swanson, a 2010 graduate of Stillwater High School. Jack has been studying voice for just four years: the past three at the University of Oklahoma.
That being said, very young Jack Swanson performed with the Valley Chamber Chorale as a 10 year old. The Chorale likes to think that maybe they can be part of the process one goes through to become a solo singer in the world today!
In 2010, Jack made his professional operatic debut appearing in a featured role in La Boheme with the Minnesota Opera. He has since performed leading roles at the University of Oklahoma’s Opera Theater.
Last summer, Jack was a young artist with the Seagle Music Colony in New York state and will return again this season.
Already recognized as a “winner” from having won several age-appropriate vocal competitions, Jack has built quite an impressive resume for someone so young. He is a student of internationally-recognized vocal pedagogue William Neill.
