Brainerd Woman's Vehicle Went 100 Feet Through the Air After Falling Asleep: Minnesota State Patrol
A Brainerd woman suffered non-life threatening injuries when her vehicle went into a ditch and became airborne.
A Brainerd woman suffered non-life threatening injuries when her vehicle went into a ditch and became airborne early Sunday. The woman believes the incident took place after she fell asleep behind the wheel. The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) states that Inez Hart, 66, was driving a Chevrolet Impala on southbound on Highway 169, an undivided roadway, at the time of the incident.
The crash took place just after 2:00 a.m. Sunday, according to MSP. Hart said that she fell asleep before the Impala went into the east ditch, at which point the her car hit an access point and went airborne for about 100 feet.
Hart was conscious after the accident and was transported to Riverwood Hospital for minor injuries, authorities say.
