Brief: Past and Present Ponies Get Acquainted on the Gridiron
Former Stillwater Pony linebacker Mark Kubacki and incoming sophomore Riley Van Klei got to know one another during the 2012 Sports International Kevin Williams Football Camp at the University of St. Thomas.

Former Pony linebacker and 2007 Stillwater grad Mark Kubacki and future Stillwater Pony hopeful Riley Van Klei were recently acquainted at the 2012 Sports International Kevin Williams Football Camp at St. Thomas University in St. Paul.
Coach Kubacki, who is entering his first year of college coaching as an inside linebacker coach for the University of St. Thomas, was on staff with a cadre of high school and college coaches from the upper Midwest.
More than 200 football players, ages 6-18, participated in the camp representing schools from Minnesota and a variety of states throughout the U.S.

After completion of this year’s camp, Van Klei was selected for the second consecutive year to the Gridiron Elite (ages 15-18 only) as an incoming sophomore by Sports International coaching staff.
The Gridiron Elite is an exclusive club selected by the coaching staff and made up of the top high school football players that attend the camp. Inclusion in this group of athletes is based on performance, skills displayed through drills, team play and one-on-one competition.

After selection, Sports International further aids Gridiron Elite athletes with their recruiting efforts by providing their information to over 2,000 college coaches throughout the nation.
