'Drunk, lost and confused' Stillwater Man Lands A Stay In Detox After Wandering Into A Stranger's Home
According to police, the 24-year-old man didn't know where he had been drinking the night before, where he had come from or where he was.

A homeowner in the 400 block of Laurie Lane woke up to an unexpected visitor early Monday morning.
The woman awoke to find a "drunk, lost and confused" 24-year-old Stillwater man sitting on a chair taking off his shoes, according to police. When asked who he was and what he was doing, the man told her he was at "Lane's house" in Oak Park Heights.
When the woman told the man he was at the wrong house, he was reluctant to leave, the report states. When the man was "ordered to leave," he allegedly walked out of the woman's house and got into the front seat of her unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway.

Once again the man was told to leave, when he took off down the road on foot and was later found by police near Fairlawn on Laurie Lane.
When police found the man, he told the officers he was in the house by mistake, thinking it was his friend's place. He "couldn't figure out" where he was drinking the night before, where he was or where he came from, the report states.

According to police, the man's preliminary breath test resulted in a reading of .17. He was taken to Detox.
Based on the man's intoxication, confusion and lack of evidence that he was inside the home with intent to commit a crime, he was cited for trespassing, not burglary, the report states.
