Drunk Man Transported for Hypothermic Symptoms after Falling into the St. Croix River
Stillwater police were called to a report of an extremely intoxicated man who fell into the St. Croix River Monday morning. The man was transported to Regions Hospital to be treated for hypothermia.

A man from Wyoming, Minn., was transported to Regions HospitalΒ Monday morning to be treated for symptoms of hypothermia after overindulging in adult beverages and falling into the St. Croix River.
Stillwater police were called at 7:45 a.m. Monday to a report of a man who fell in the river and was stumbling around near the shore.
When police arrived, the officer found the βextremely intoxicatedβ man sitting on the riverbank wearing frozen pants and no shoes, the report states. A witness told police the man had been wandering around the area for about 30 minutes.

The man told police he had fallen in the river because he βwas drunk as (expletive).β
When medics arrived, they found the man appeared to have signs of hypothermia. He was immediately transported to Regions Hospital for treatment.
